Most questions about Zonas come down to three things: where heart rate comes from, where the data goes, and how to keep the number visible during a workout.

Common questions
Does Zonas collect or process my data?
No. Heart rate and workout data are handled on your device and in Apple Health. The app does not run analytics, ads, tracking, cloud sync, or a server for your health data.
What heart rate monitors work with Zonas?
Any standard Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate monitor that broadcasts the heart rate service should work. Chest straps like Polar H10, Garmin HRM-Pro, Wahoo TICKR, and COOSPO-style straps are the intended device class.
Can I use Zonas with just an Apple Watch?
Yes. Zonas has a companion Watch app that runs the workout on Apple Watch and mirrors the session back to iPhone in real time.
Does Zonas work without a heart rate monitor?
You need either a Bluetooth heart rate monitor or Apple Watch. Zonas reads live heart rate from one of those sources. It does not estimate heart rate from the phone alone.
What are heart rate zones?
Zones are intensity ranges based on your heart rate. Zonas uses five labels: Recovery, Aerobic, Steady, Hard, and Peak. The app calculates them automatically or lets you set custom boundaries.
How does the floating overlay work?
Zonas uses iPhone Picture-in-Picture to show a small workout strip over other apps. It is system PiP with heart rate and zone content rendered locally by the app.
What is the difference between PiP and Dynamic Island?
Picture-in-Picture is a floating window over other apps. Dynamic Island uses Live Activities. In the current app, those controls are separate and mutually exclusive during a workout.
Why is Zonas a subscription?
Zonas is built by one independent developer. Subscriptions make continued development, support, and maintenance possible. Pricing is shown by Apple before purchase.
How are payments handled?
Apple handles payments, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds through the App Store. Zonas does not process payments directly and does not receive your payment details.
Can I restore my purchase?
Yes. Use Restore Subscriptions in the app. If that does not work, contact support with the device and Apple ID context you are comfortable sharing.
